This is the new entry-level kite/freestyle board, which replaces the very popular Rush board.
This year, Scrub are using a composite wood/epoxy deck, for better flex/pop which makes the Monashee a great choice, when looking for an inexpensive board for kiteboarding. There is a brand new skate truck system, which incorporates a kingpin, which helps to eliminate speed wobble, while not affecting the turning radius of the board. The Monashee also has a new, more comfortable, Velcro binding system, lightweight rims and lightweight 8” tyres, with added lateral grip (which is ideal for kite sports.) Hollow axle trucks, to reduce weight and a grab handle for freestyle moves and jumps.
