These Mobiles are heavy duty, tank like tracked vehicles with a minimum of offensive capability but lots of sensor equipment.

Where a UFO is successful at evading all other defences and reach the earth, the Mobile will reach the landing area, locate the UFO and deliver personnel to carry out whatever mission SHADO deems necessary.

SHADO stands for 'Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organisation' that secretly operates from beneath a working film studio in the battle against the alien menace.
